Oval Buldo (Water Floats) are an essential and highly effective tool for every angler who enjoys surface fishing techniques. Thanks to their clever design, they enable long casts with very light artificial lures (such as silicone worms, small minnows, or artificial flies) that would otherwise be impossible to cast with a Spinning rod. They are available in a transparent version for maximum discretion in the water, as well as a two-tone version (Red-White) to offer high visibility from a distance, even in conditions of intense waves or low light.

The Buldo's operation is based on its internal cavity, which fills with water through two removable plastic caps. This gives the angler complete freedom to adjust the float's weight on-the-fly according to the casting weight of their rod and wind conditions. When filled halfway, the Buldo acts as a floating (surface) float, creating intense ripples and "noise" during retrieval, attracting predators such as sea bass, amberjack, saddled seabream, and leerfish. Conversely, when fully filled, it acquires rolling/sinking properties, allowing us to fish a little deeper in the water column.
The oval, aerodynamic shape of these Buldos drastically reduces air resistance during casting, ensuring a stable trajectory and extra distance. The range includes 6 different sizes (from No 1 to No 6), covering every need – from very delicate and light fishing with small Raglou in harbors (dimensions 23x36mm), to heavy setups for long casts on open beaches or capes with larger baits (dimensions 50x75mm). They are made of durable, high-quality plastic that resists minor knocks on rocks and sun exposure.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
Proper rigging of the Buldo is crucial to avoid tangles during casting. Thread your main line (or leader) through the central axis of the Buldo. At the exit, place a soft rubber bead to absorb shocks and tie a quality Rolling swivel. To this swivel, you will tie your leader (Fluorocarbon), which for optimal results with silicone worms should be between 1.20m and 2.00m long, depending on the length of your rod. Tip to Avoid Tangles: When casting, exactly one second before the Buldo touches the water surface, slightly "brake" the line with your finger on the spool rim. This momentary braking will force the long leader to pass the Buldo and fully extend, so that it lands in the water in a straight line, minimizing the chances of the hook getting tangled around the water float.
