OKUMA TESORO LDJ TLJ-2000 (THE AWARD-WINNING LEVER DRAG POWERHOUSE FOR HEAVY VERTICAL JIGGING)
The Okuma Tesoro LDJ (TLJ-2000) represents the new generation of premium horizontal jigging reels, having won the prestigious **iF Design Award 2024**. Designed with an extremely compact body but with monstrous line capacity, it allows demanding anglers to fish comfortably at great depths with a lighter reel, without any compromise in power. With a complete construction from aerospace-grade machined aluminum and the revolutionary Lever Drag braking system, the Tesoro LDJ is built to dominate the toughest battles with large tuna, amberjacks, and deep-sea blackfish.
MORE INFORMATION
The superiority of the Tesoro LDJ is based on the introduction of Flite Drive™ technology, which reduces rotational resistance by more than 50% compared to older models, offering a velvety retrieval feel even under maximum pressure. The oversized stainless steel XL Gear System increases the contact surface by 50%, providing the ultimate "winch power" feeling. For line safety and absolute control, the reel features a Spool Lock system for secure cutting in case of snags, as well as engraved line capacity marks on the spool.
KEY TECHNOLOGICAL FEATURES
- Full Machined Aluminum Construction: The body, spool, and side plates are entirely made of cold-forged aluminum. Ensures zero tolerances, perfect alignment of mechanical parts, and top-notch durability against extreme torque without any deformation.
- Flite Drive™ Technology: An innovative central shaft support system that minimizes friction. It allows maximum freedom of handle movement, making continuous jigging much less tiring, even when lifting heavy weights from over 100 meters.
- Carbonite Dual Force Drag & Full Range Linear Curve: The patented Carbonite Dual Force drag system delivers 12 kg of perfectly linear and consistent power. The progressive lever drag features 4 pre-set positions (Free, M, Strike, Full), allowing the angler to instantly change pressure during the fight.
- XL Gear System & Triple Anti-Reverse: The oversized stainless steel gears offer incredible wear resistance. The triple anti-reverse system (double one-way bearing + dog pawl) ensures instant hook sets, zero play in the handle, and maximum safety.
- Ergonomic T-Bar Power Handle: Specially designed ergonomic aluminum handle with an anatomical T-Bar made of EVA material. Provides superior power transfer from hand to reel, drastically reducing wrist fatigue after hours of fishing.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
The Okuma Tesoro LDJ TLJ-2000 is a professional tool for **Slow Pitch Jigging** and **Heavy Vertical Jigging**. The 5.5:1 gear ratio combined with the large spool diameter retrieves **1 meter of line per turn**, offering the ideal speed to give proper, erratic movement (pitch) to your jigs, as well as the power to dislodge a large fish from the rock. The built-in Spool Lock system is a lifesaver: if your jig gets irreparably snagged on the bottom at great depth, you lock the spool with the special switch and pull the rod in a straight line to break the line, protecting the internal gears and the reel shaft from extreme pressure. It pairs excellently with eight-strand jigging lines of PE #3.0 to PE #5.0 class.
