The S-340 series uses medium/thin shank hooks with a very sharp point, designed not to harm sensitive, small live baits such as "akrovatis" (a type of worm), dough, bread, "bigattini" (maggots), or small pieces of black/marine worms. The black finish of the hook provides excellent concealment, as it does not create suspicious reflections in sunlight, making it almost invisible to cunning fish such as sargos, melanouria, mullets, and sea bream.

The size gradation has been designed to cover everything from the most ultra-light and finesse presentations (such as No. 12 with 0.12mm line and 1.50kg strength) to stronger setups for larger prey in Bolognese or vertical jigging (such as No. 4 with 0.20mm line and 3.70kg strength). Each leader is carefully wound in its packaging so that it unwinds immediately without creating "memory" or kinks in the line, ensuring perfectly natural free movement (natural drift) of the bait in the water.

PRACTICAL ADVICE

Using Owner S-340 pre-tied leaders requires proper management to fully utilize their potential. The 65cm length is ideal for most conditions. If you are fishing with the Bolognese or Match technique in very clear waters or strong sunlight, you can connect the pre-tied leader directly to your rig's small swivel using a Loop-to-Loop knot. If you find that fish are extremely wary and biting "weakly," leave the leader at its full length (65cm) so that the bait sinks as slowly and naturally as possible along with your chum. Conversely, if fish are actively and quickly feeding or there are small fish on the surface destroying your bait, you can shorten the leader to 40-45cm by cutting it from the back, allowing your bait to sink faster into the action zone. Tip for maintaining the line: When removing the leader from the paper card in the packaging, do not pull it abruptly from the hook. Hold the loop, gently unroll it, and pass it once between your fingers, pressing lightly. The heat generated by the friction of your fingers will fully straighten the line, removing any traces of curvature from the packaging, providing a perfectly straight presentation in the water.
