The superior quality of Emeraldas Dura Sensor X8 is based on Daiwa's UVF (Ultra Volume Fiber) technology, which compresses the polyethylene (PE) fibers to an extreme degree. This process drastically increases the line's density per millimeter, providing a perfectly circular cross-section and minimizing "emptying" or looseness of the weave. At the same time, the special, external EVO SILICONE coating creates a protective, incredibly smooth film on the line's surface. This treatment reduces friction when passing through the guides, ensuring long and accurate casts and dramatically increasing the line's abrasion resistance against rocks or harbor ropes.

The line is available in a multicolor version with a carefully designed color change every 10 meters. Diameters PE #0.5 and PE #0.6 are the absolute choices for Eging with egi sizes 2.0 to 3.0, as well as for pure Light Rock Fishing (LRF) with small soft plastics and micro-jigs, as they offer incredible casting distances due to minimal air resistance. The diameter PE #0.8 is the most all-around choice, ideal for Eging with larger egi (size 3.5), as well as for Light Spinning / Hard Rock Fishing (HRF), offering the necessary security when a large squid or a predator (e.g., a large sargus or sea bass) tries to snag.
